Host a Foraging Club Event
In addition to managing Feral Foraging, Jesse also runs the North Alabama Foraging Club. The club comprises of people from all levels of foraging, beginner to veteran. One thing that the club is lacking at this time is access to land for plant and foraging walks to be held. Foraging is of course, not possible, without land! Many people are happy to have their land used to host an event for the club as there are many benefits to the land owners as well as the club members. Here’s how it works!
How it Works
In exchange for offering your land to be used for a single non-reoccuring event, you will get the following.
- A personal foraging survey of your land by forager, Jesse Akobzek
- A portion of any tips/profit collected from the event
- A portion of any items foraged on your property should foraging be allowed
Rules we will Follow
You set the rules for the hike. Areas that are off-limits, capacity for the event, etc. as well as any additional requirements of yours. Without your permission we will never:
- Post the location/address of your land online or publicly
- Visit the property outside of the event, or step foot on your property without explicit permission
- Forage/Take an item, plant, or mushroom
- Mention to anyone outside of the club that the property was used for an event
If you are not comfortable with hosting an event, but would still like a foraging survey to be taken, see my Private Foraging Classes where you can sign up to walk with me 1-on-1 to inspect your land for its foraging potential!
